The Chamber of Commerce will present an informative presentation about Healthcare Reform on Wednesday Morning, Sept 25th at 8:30 am at Mark Twain Medical Center.
This is a opportunity to gain an understanding of the new requirements for employers and what the general public will be required to do to comply with the new Healthcare program.
This will be your opportunity to ask questions and learn what you may or may not be required to pay for your own health insurance.
This session is open to the public as well as all Chamber Members.
You can find this meeting in Community Meeting Room #4, which is just off of the back parking lot across from the Government Center on Mountain Ranch Road.
Whether you agree with it or not the Affordable Care Act is coming our way October 1. You are invited to attend an information session where you can find important information regarding requirements that still apply to most business for notifying employees about state health insurance exchanges and information on penalties individuals will be assessed if they do NOT purchase insurance for 2014.

Employers can learn about the choices they will need to make for themselves and for their employees at an informative, free session about the new choices in Healthcare Insurance. Beginning in October, people can enroll in the new Healthcare choices and everyone must enroll by the December 31st.

Join us on Wednesday, September 25th at 8:30 am for an informative 30 minute presentation about the new Federally mandated requirements. The presentation will be at the Mark Twain Medical Center, Community Meeting Room #4. You can find the classroom by entering the parking lot in the back of the hospital adjacent to the Government Center. The Classroom is in the small separate building by the Hospital Foundation office.

On Thursday, August 22, 2013, the Angels Camp Museum will host the Monthly After Hours Mixer along with the Calaveras Visitors Bureau and the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce starting at 5:30. You will have the opportunity to Network with local community members and business people and tour the Museum. The Angels Camp Museum is one of the greatest treasures of our area and they are looking forward to sharing it with the local business community. Wines will be provided by Milliare Winery and Twisted Oak Winery. The Museum is located at 753 S. Main Street in Angels Camp. Parking is available next door at the Catholic Church.
On Friday, August 23, 2013, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm, our State Assembly Representative, Frank Bigelow, will attend an informal reception at the Calaveras County Museum in San Andreas. Frank Bigelow wants to meet with Citizens of Calaveras County and learn about your concerns and share his. Cookies, lemonade and water will be provided by the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce. The beautiful Calaveras County Museum is located on Main Street in San Andreas just off of Highway 49. You will find parking along the small and charming Main Street and in parking lots at the Black Bart Inn, the Met, and on lower Main Street.

The Chamber of Commerce and the Calaveras Historical Society will host a reception for California State Assembly Representative Frank Bigelow on Friday, August 23rd from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm. The Reception will be held at the Calaveras County Museum located at 30 North Main Street in San Andreas. The Reception will be held in the charming and historic Jail Yard. Burnell Wealth Management in Valley Springs will be offering a presentation about the Healthcare Reform Act (Obamacare) by Laurel Jolliff with Life Matters Insurance on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at the La Contenta Event Center. Laurel is a local area expert on the Affordable Care Act, and will share current information, what your options are and how you’ll be affected by it. The Calaveras Humane Society will host the Mixer this Thursday, July 25th at their new store in Angels Camp. The Mixer will start at 5:30 and the Store is located in the Savemart Shopping Center between Savemart and RiteAid. Villa Vallecito Winery will be sharing and pouring their wines and the great volunteers from the Humane Society will bring delicious appetizers.
Mixers are great Networking events so please bring business cards and get ready to meet and mingle with other local business people. You can meet the fine volunteers that operate the Humane Society and they promise that you will not be required to take home a kitten!

The Monthly Chamber Mixer will be held next week at Rabobank in Angels Camp on Thursday, June 27 starting at 5:30 pm and we hope to see you there. Mixers are a great way to connect with the local Motherlode business community to network, learn about new businesses and events and visit with friends. Rabobank is located on 501 South Highway 49 (Main Street) across from Froggy’s Car Wash.
Mixers are open to all local business people and local wines will be served with light appetizers.
The Valley Springs Area Business Association together with the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Mixer at the Mail Depot in Valley Springs at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 28th. This is another opportunity to meet and mix with the business people of Valley Springs. The Mail Depot is located on the curve near the 4 way stop in Valley Springs on Highway 12. The Address is 39 California Street, next to Calaveras Fashion Floors.
You are invited to join all local business people, and Chamber Members too, to the Chamber of Commerce Preview Night at the Calaveras County Fair’s Ranch House this Thursday, May 9th starting at 5:30 pm.
This is a special evening planned by the Fair Staff and Friends of the Fair for all local business people and Chamber Members. The fun will take place in the Ranch House on the lower fairgrounds.
