Home & Garden Show Vendors Wanted!

The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 3rd Annual Home & Garden Show on Saturday, April 14th and Sunday, April 15th at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds. Vendors are welcome to apply.  If you are interested in showing at the Home & Garden Show, contact the Chamber office for more information, (209)754-5400

Mother Lode Bridal Faire coming up in March!

The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce will present the fourth Mother Lode Bridal Faire this year at the beautiful Ironstone Vineyards. Save Sunday, March 11th and plan to meet and mingle with every product and service needed to make the perfect wedding.  Each Bride that attends will receive special gifts and offers for her special time. Entry and parking is free.  The Faire will run from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

And the Winner is… Vicki Burr

The Winner of the famous Gold Nugget in the Chamber of Commerce Gold Nugget Raffle is Vicki Burr of Mountain Ranch.  She purchased a ticket last fall and was the proud winner of the beautiful gold nugget valued at $5,000.00  Congratulations!  The Chamber President, Jeff Davidson drew the winning ticket at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner last week in San Andreas.

Bear Valley Open, Plan your Trip Now!

Bear Valley Mountain Resort remains open, wide open, in spite of the reluctance of Mother Nature to snow.  Bear Valley is open 7 days a week and they truly are the “Friendliest Mountain in the West”.  They continue to make snow and have some new, fun activities; ice skating & tubing, to try.  It looks like Mother Nature may finally deliver the holiday snow later this week.  Check out the BV Webpage for more information.

Bear Valley Opens on Friday!

Bear Valley Mountain today announced it will offer special $39 All Day Adult & Teen lift tickets on opening day, Dec 16, 2011 and continue with the discount through Dec 25, 2011!Conditions have been ideal for snowmaking and the anticipated storms at the end of the week will make for great opening conditions!

Chamber opens office in County Seat

The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce announced last night at it’s After Hours Mixer that it is moving its office to Main Street, San Andreas.  The Chamber Board had been considering various options for located its headquarters and determined that the Chamber should operate out of the County Seat near its original home, which is now the Calaveras County Archives

Chamber Mixer at Newsome Harlow

Next Thursday, November 10th, Newsome Harlow Winery and The Kitchen at Newsome Harlow will host the November Chamber of Commerce Mixer at their Restaurant on Main Street in Murphys.  Newsome Harlow is one of Calaveras County’s premier wineries and now they have opened one of the best eateries in Calaveras County as well.  You can find the Tasting Room and The Kitchen at 403 Main Street in Murphys, near the center of town. 
Join the Calaveras County Business community for a great evening of networking and you will have an opportunity to sample the delicious creations of Scott and Melanie Klann.  Newsome Harlow is accepting reservations for Holiday parties and this will be a great opportunity to preview the venue.

Rural Economic Development Tops the List

The Chamber of Commerce of Calaveras County has invited Dr. Glenda Humiston, State Director of the USDA Rural Economic Development to talk at the September 30th luncheon at Camps Restaurant in Greenhorn Creek.  You are invited to join us to learn Glenda’s advice how to create jobs and ignite our sagging economy.  Dave Haley of Castle Cooke will also speak about “This is the time to act” to develope our economy.
