Do you have a business ready to contract? Do you want to create a business? Do you have a hobby you would like to make into a business? The Business Technology Cohort "Learn to Certify" will provide you with the tools and resources to get you registered, certified, and ready to bid.

About the event
Class size is limited. The 'FREE' Business Technology Cohort Learn to Certify' (LTC) is a three-week series that will provide hands-on, step-by-step, assistance to becoming a certified business with the three certifying agencies in the State of California.
All three classes are required to become certified.
Certifying as a 'Small Business '(SB), 'Disadvantage Business Enterprise' (DBE), or Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), LTC will provide the time, resources, and assistance to get certified and ready to bid!
To those who have registered:
Welcome to Learn To Certify Calaveras County Cohort!
You are the first group that will be walked through the process of creating profiles, registering, and submitting applications to get certified with the three main ‘Certifying Agencies in the State of California!
If you need an EIN or want to get an LLC started, we will cover that as well!
We will be confirming details to secure Small Business (SB), Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE), Minority Owned Enterprise (MBE), Women-owned Business (WBE), Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), Person with Disability Business Enterprise (PDBE), SBA(8)a, and LGBTQ Business Enterprise certification.
Once all the applications are submitted we will start looking at bid and grant portals. We will start your capability Statements and your business cards to start submitting for your next winning contract!
What you need to bring to class:
Your laptop, your power cords, and your favorite pen.
You will be provided with documents and a binder.
Please come ready to work.
This will be a fast-paced program and we will be limited in our opportunity to backtrack on topics.
Videos will be made available in between classes for your review as well.
It is recommended that the following documents be available on your laptop:
1. EIN – SS-4 Letter from IRS
2. Articles of Incorporation
3. Statement of Information
4. Taxes
a. 3 years personal
b. 3 years of business if one exits
5. Bylaws- if a corporation
6. Minutes- if a corporation
7. Operating Agreement
If you do not have any of the above information, NO PROBLEM! WE GOT YOU COVERED!
