Mokelumne Water & Mining Co.

The Mokelumne Hill Canal and Mining Company was a historical company that played a role in the development of water resources and mining in Calaveras County, California. Founded in 1852 and completed in 1853, the company built a canal system to deliver water to mining camps and other areas. Later, the company was reorganized as the Mokelumne River Water and Power Company, and eventually, the water rights were acquired by the Calaveras Public Utility District.
