The Calaveras County Airport is thrilled to announce the return of its highly
anticipated annual Airport Day, set to take place at the Calaveras County Airport – Maury Rasmussen
Field on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10 am until 3 pm.
The public is invited to explore the captivating world of aviation, with free admission granting access to
an array of aircraft displayed on the airport grounds. From vintage planes to helicopters, remote control
models, and homebuilt aircraft, attendees will have the unique opportunity to get up close and personal
with these impressive flying machines.
Adding to the excitement, the EAA Mother Lode Chapter #484 will offer thrilling airplane rides,
providing a bird's-eye view of Calaveras County's picturesque landscapes. Priced at $30 for adults and
ages 13+, and $20 for children aged 12 and under, this unforgettable experience promises an
exhilarating adventure for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.
