Service Organizations

WATCH Resources, Inc. is a nonprofit organization supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through programs that promote independence, inclusion, creativity, and community connection. In Calaveras County, WATCH operates CASA Residence in San Andreas, a 24/7 staffed residential home, and also provides opportunities for community engagement, vocational growth, recreation, and the arts. WATCH is proud to serve individuals and families throughout the Mother Lode region.

The Calaveras Community Foundation is a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Fed. ID #68-0472056) and dedicated to providing financial assistance to charitable causes to improve and enrich the lives of Calaveras County residents.

Sierra HOPE promotes individual dignity and supports the health and well-being for at risk members of our community through compassionate services and resources. We address issues of homelessness, housing and food insecurity, as well as HIV/AIDS in our greater community. We encourage you to visit our Community Navigation Center and our Community Food Pantry, both located in Angels Camp, to see the important work we are doing.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a non-profit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military services members from active, guard, and reserve forces.  We have many programs and services that work to support veterans, service members and their familiies.

The California Gold Country Region serves more than 3.7 million people across 26 counties, encompassing Del Norte, Siskiyou, Modoc, Humboldt, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Plumas, Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Mendocino, Lake, Sierra, Yuba, Nevada, Placer, Sutter, El Dorado, Yolo, Sacramento, Amador, Alpine, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties.

Soroptimist International of Calaveras County is a volunteer organization that provides women and girls access to the education they need to achieve economic empowerment.
