    LEARN & LEAD Leadership Calaveras 2024 What is Learn & Lead? Calaveras Leadership Program Learn & Lead Calaveras is a 10-month educational program that provides participants with the experience to increase awareness and knowledge of vital organizations in Calaveras County. Hands-on activities, tours, and panel discussions are all a part of it. Sessions are designed to be interactive and participants are expected to share their experiences and viewpoints. Sessions are 4-8 hours and occur monthly at selected venues in Calaveras and surrounding areas. Who Should Apply? Anyone who wants to learn more about how Calaveras County works and see what goes on behind the curtain! If you’re over 18, prepared for some physical activity, and interested in gaining leadership skills, apply today! How to Apply What Learn & Lead Offers Connection Connect with movers and shakers from local and state levels. Network with industry professionals. Collaborate with other leaders in your area. Meet the people working hard behind the scenes of your community and find ways to get involved. Education Learn about topics & industries like: agriculture, wine, natural resources, history, diversity, government, law enforcement, health & human services, education, arts, culture, recreation, tourism, non-profits, media, and more! Impact Identify local issues and work to find solutions. Past Leadership Graduates have collaborated to help their community in erecting new structures, improving educational institutions, identifying tourism opportunities, and so much more! Skills Gain valuable skills and knowledge from a variety of sources. You can learn ways to improve your own career, grow as an individual, be part of a team, communicate effectively, and create positive changes in your own community. How to Apply 1 Complete Application Class size is limited and not all applicants will be accepted. A diverse class encourages great discussion and the selection committee works hard to assemble a participant group representative of Calaveras County. Candidates not selected in a given year are strongly encouraged to re-apply! How to Apply 2 Employer Consent Form Applicants must have approval from their organization or employer to participate in Learn & Lead Calaveras. Employers must sign a consent form stating that they understand their employee will be absent from work during Leadership Sessions. Employer Form 3 Tuition Fees If selected, tuition is due before the first Learn & Lead Calaveras session . Tuition includes class materials, Learn & Lead merch, meals, a project presentation at the Chamber's Annual Dinner, and a formal graduation certificate.
